The Information and Data Protection Commissioner, is the independent institution in Albania, responsible for monitoring and supervising protection of personal data. In this ambit it is responsible for conducting administrative investigation, accessing to personal data processing and collecting all necessary information with the view of fulfilling his supervisory obligations.

The Commissioner orders for the blocking, erasure, destruction or suspension of the unlawful processing of personal data and issues instructions prior to the data processing ensuring their publication.

The Italian Data Protection Authority is an independent administrative that was set up to protect fundamental rights and freedoms in connection with the processing of personal data, and to ensure respect for individuals’ dignity in Italy.

The GPDP is actively involved in European projects aimed at raising awareness on personal data protection and compliance to General Data Protection Regulation.

BIM is Austria’s largest human rights research, training and consulting institute, which since its foundation in 1992 has developed a specific profile in the field of human rights, rule of law and democratisation.

BIM cooperates with public administrations as well as civil society organisations at the national and international level. One focus area of BIM’s work is data protection as part of the right to privacy under Article 8 of the European Convention of Human Rights.

CSI is an Italian eGovernment Public Agency specialised in projects for the public sector also at the international level. CSI implements innovative services for the administrations helping them to be more efficient, modern and to reduce public spending costs.

CSI manages large amounts of data, for which CSI guarantees privacy, according to the indications of EU Regulations. CSI has an internal DPO and has developed technical models and organizational and legal measures to protect the data of citizens and administrations. Since 2012 CSI has a branch in Albania.
