The Information and Data Protection Commissioner’s Office participated in the second meeting for this year of the Executive Committee of the International Conference of Information Commissioners (ICIC).
One of the important items on the agenda of the meeting was the increase and consolidation of interaction with UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization), within the framework of the implementation of the Memorandum of Cooperation. Additionally, the members of the Committee discussed the proposals for the improvement of the Charter of Johannesburg, the main regulatory act of the organization’s operation, as well as organizational measures for the development of the 14th edition of the ICIC. The Executive Committee consists of Commissioners from Mexico, Albania, USA, Chile, Philippines, Kenya, South Africa and Bermuda.
