The number of Public Authorities providing services to citizens through the “Electronic register of requests and responses on the right to information” has increased. The Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner is fostering and continuously monitoring the establishment of the ERRRRI. In late June 2020, a total number of 52 independent, central and local self-government institutions have already established the ERRRRI.
The newly institutions using the “Register” are the following: Competition Authority, Financial Supervisory Authority, Commissioner for Civil Service Oversight, Commissioner for Protection from Discrimination, The Authority for Information on Former State Security Documents, Deposit Insurance Agency, Albanian public broadcaster RTSH and Municipalities of Berat, Gjirokastër, Dibër, Kamëz, Gramsh, Memaliaj, Maliq, Himarë, Devoll, Poliçan, Shijak, Patos, Mat and Selenicë.
The ERRRRI is a state database established under DCM No. 145, dated 13.03.2018, pursuant to the Law 119/2014 “On the right to information”. The “Register” is incorporated in the “pyetshtetin.al” portal, which is a communication proactive platform between citizens and Public Authorities in view of transparency and accountability. One of the features of the ERRRRI is that the whole process of handling requests/responses, and also lodging of complaints with the Commissioner’s Office, is performed within the system enabling online traceability.
