The Office of the Commissioner, following the publication of the “Guidelines on the protection of personal data in the context of the measures taken against COVID-19” which contains some important guidelines for public and private controllers regarding the observance of legal principles and criteria of processing personal data in the context of measures against COVID-19, as well as in response to the increased public interest and concern – either through media articulation or direct questions from certain citizens – regarding specific areas of personal data processing (in particular, of those related to health), through this Guideline, brings to the attention of each interested party some concrete aspects regarding the protection of personal data in certain sectors.
