The Office of the Commissioner held a meeting with representatives of independent institutions about the implementation of the second phase of the “Electronic register of requests and responses of the right to information”.
The inception of the “Register” emanates from the implementation of the Law 119/2014 “On the Right to Information” and it is operated like a state database pursuant to the Decision of the Council of Ministers No. 145, dated 13.03.2019. For a period of one year, the “Register” has been successfully tested and operated by 27 Public Authorities. Owing to the easy and free of charge access of citizens to the “Register”, it ultimately facilitates procedures to obtain information, thereby increasing transparency in the activities of public administration. Henceforth, the Commissioner’s Office will continue holding similar meetings with other Public Authorities representatives.
